Network Cable Showing Unplugged in Computer
Sometimes even if the network
cable is connected to a computer, the computer tells that network cable is
unplugged. So we are going tell you that how to identify and troubleshoot this
networking problem. The network cable unplugged problem occur in many different-different
conditions. We are telling you some conditions in which the problem network
cable unplugged comes in desktop or laptop computer.
1. Loos Connection
Check whether cable is properly plugged in to the Computer LAN Port. Some time it may be loos. The looseness problem is occurred from broken connector or without lock. So if you are using broken connector, then cable unplugged problem will occur again and again connector. So now you need to crimp new connector with your network cable. Check on both side (switch side and computer side) whether cable is properly connected on connectors.

2. Network cable is defective or damaged
check whether your network cable
is defective or damaged. The network cable consists 4 of pair of cable means
there are 8 cable in a single LAN cable. If one of them found damaged, then
computer will show network cable unplugged. So you need to replace or joint the
damage network cable.
3. Problem with Network Driver
Sometime this problem occurs due to corrupt or wrong network driver. Sometime viruses damage the driver’s files and then it does not work properly. So you need to re-install network driver. Check motherboard model and download the network driver from internet according to the motherboard model.

4. Wrong cable Type
If network cable is wrong means if you are connecting your computer with switch, then you need straight through cable and you are connecting cross cable then now the computer shows that cable is unplugged, While the cable is connected properly, the computer cable will still tell unplugged.

5. Inbuilt LAN card not working
Maybe the motherboard’s inbuilt network card is bad. Now you install an external network card on the motherboard and check whether the cable connect or not. If the cable is unplugged even when the network card is installed, then this problem is not of network card.
Conclusion
Step-1. Check whether cable is properly connected with LAN port.
Step-2. Check the cable connector, is it properly crimped or not if not then change the connector and crimp new connector properly.
Step-3. Check the LAN cable whether its damage or broken.
Step-4. Update the network driver or uninstall and install it again.
Step-5. Install the external LAN card on motherboard whether inbuilt LAN card may be faulty.
